What is
powder coating?
The powder coating process includes a surface pre-treatment, the coating is a finishing process in which a free flowing, dry thermostatic powder is electrostatically charged and sprayed over a metal surface. The electrostatically charged dry powder is drawn to the object, and on contact bonds to the surface, giving the ability to create a thicker coating with a more comprehensive coverage than traditional wet spraying. The item is then heated to melt the powder to an even, smooth finish and left to bake and cure, creating one of the most strong, durable, and long lasting coatings.
Powder coatings are available in in a range of differing chemistries to suit product specific requirements. The benefits can include cosmetic enhancement, corrosion resistance and enhanced performance.

With three large ovens Midtherm Powder coating have the ability to competitively coat items up to 4500mm. We can facilitate large single items or even a batch powder coating service of smaller items for a variety of metal substrates. With our unique set up, we have the flexibility to adapt our works to many projects, while maintaining a high-quality finish.
Our applications can include – Industrial finish, Architectural finish, High Temperature, Harsh environment, noise reduction, anti-graffiti, Antibacterial and IR reflective.
We stock a vast range of Ral and BS colours in a variety texture, gloss levels, along with custom colour matches.
